It’s giving season and we think it’s important to keep charities in mind at this time of year, as well as our impact on our environment.

This Christmas, instead of sending out physical Christmas cards, Copdock Mill sent an e-card. The cost of cards and postage was then donated to Crohn’s & Colitis UK as a Christmas donation.

Crohn’s & Colitis UK:

Every day, people are diagnosed with Crohn’s or Colitis, the two main forms of inflammatory bowel disease. This could be any age, rich or poor, of any faith or none, of any ethnicity, sexuality, or gender. Whoever you are, a diagnosis of Crohn’s or Colitis will be life changing. The company held a breakfast morning for all the staff on Thursday 19th September 2024 at Copdock Mill. With our staff making generous donations towards hot dogs, bacon rolls, teas and coffees, we managed to raise £261.10 for the charity.

The company held a coffee morning for all the staff on Friday 29th September 2023 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. A numerous amount of staff kindly brought in their delicious bakes to help raise money for the worth-while charity. With our staff making generous donations towards a selection of savoury and sweet treats, as well as coffees, we managed to raise £203.20 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Gladwells Pet & Country Store Christmas donation drive is back!

Last year our amazing customers donated 6580 tins of dog food for charity! This year we are aiming to beat that record and donate even more.

Customers can help us gift some festive cheer this year by buying an 800g tin of Dylan dog food for just £1 and adding it to the donation basket at the till. All donations of dog food will be gifted to the store’s local charity of choice (details below)…

The company held a BBQ lunch event at Copdock Mill with staff last Friday. With burgers, hot dogs and generous donations from colleagues we have raised £387.47 for the charity.

We have raised almost £300 for the National Autistic Society charity! Through a breakfast morning held at Copdock Mill, and a tombola at the Copdock Angling Open Day at Gladwells Pet & Country Store these funds were raised by staff and customers.
