Copdock Country Store are bouncing back after the ram raid and arson attack in early February. We have been trading from our temporary store since March and will be opening our new improved store at Copdock on Saturday 3rd December 2011. With our 100 years in business coming up in 2012 we are taking this opportunity to rename our store, Gladwells Pet & Country Store Keeping the family name.

The temporary store is up and running. Saturday 26th March saw the winners of the BBC2 program "A Farmers Life For Me", Ray and Jayne Brabban, open the store.
Remember the 10% discount off collected retail prices remains for the whole of April 2011.

The temporary store is up and we are fitting it out with all the necessary services and racking/shelving. The plan is still to open this on Saturday 26th March. We will therefore have one more Saturday Super Saver on 19th March from the main warehouse buildings.

We will be laying some new concrete to site out temporary store close to the Country Store in the near future. Opening date is a provisional 26th March..... Watch this space!

Everyone has been working hard to get a temporary solution up and running in the shortest time. Increasingly it looks like we will erect a temporary retail store in the corner of the car park whilst all the reinstatement work is done to the Country Store.
Trade Customers - please phone your orders through to Customer Services - 01473 730246 option 1 or email to orders@copdockmill.co.uk stating that it is a shop collection.
On Saturday we are planning another "RETAIL DAY". As we have no stock, power etc.. at the store we used the canopy of the warehouse on the main site. The plan is to repeat this on Saturday 12th February and every Saturday until the temporary building is up. The times we will open are 8.30am - 4pm.

We have had an arson attack at Copdock Country Store last night (2/2/11). The shop was targeted in a ram-raid to steal the safe and then a jerry can of fuel was poured into the hole in the wall and ignited.
We are trying to get a solution to trade again from the store as soon as possible. Trade customers who phone their orders in we can still serve - there are staff up close to the store who will help you in any way they can but at present we are finding it difficult to find a way to cater for retail sales - Stowfeeds (01449 673806) is only 15 miles from Copdock and offers essentially the same range.

The Fire Service pulled the cladding off to see how far the fire had spread and to check that there were no hot spots left

Front of shop area showing damage to wall where vehicle broke through and substantial damage to rest room and managers office.
If you have any questions about supply please call 01473 730246 and we will try to help in whatever way we can.
